I have decided to resign as Youth Minister at Holy Family Cathedral. This decision has come with lots of discernment, deliberation, and dialogue; it has been a hard one to make – I really do wish I could stay longer! But, over the past few seasons, I have been realizing how much I need a different work role that will support & sustain Micah & I as we grow in our Vocation. Therefore; the time has come for me to move onward. We’ll still be around on Sunday celebrations! We’ll see you all there!

To all the youth & young adults that I had the privilege of walking alongside these past two years – thank you for your courageous yes to God! Keep on living in the truth of knowing that you are God’s beloved sons & daughters, called to greatness, sustained by grace. Turn to God with your daily living, He’s with you! Keep in touch. I will miss being your Youth Minister!

To all the high school students, young adults, adults, & parents that have volunteered in our youth ministries – thank you so much! Thank you for your servant hearts, the gift of your time, and your generous assistance.  I will always treasure the many (albeit a little crazy) moments of evangelization  & discipleship we journeyed through in our community.

To our wonderful school communities – thank you for your openness & care in promoting Catholic education! I will miss being in your hallways, getting to know the staff & teachers, and visiting your classrooms. Thank you for your hospitality.

To those who have supported & participated in the Mission Project to Peru – muchos gracias! What a whirlwind of brainstorming, fundraising, traveling, and serving. To the Supporters & donors – thank you for your generosity & donations of prayer, finances, and encouragement. To the Parents – your willingness to let me travel with your children to Peru still amazes me! Thank you. And to the Team members – keep on praying, serving, sanding, painting, loving! I’m so proud of all of you.

To my staff & co-workers at the Cathedral of the Holy Family – thank you for working with me! I know you’re all probably excited to get a break from my many emails, ha-ha. Thank you for being co-laborers in the vineyard.

My thanksgiving & gratitude goes out to all of you in our greater Church community – take care.

Thanks be to God for the gift of Youth Ministry in our personal lives & in our church community!  

I hope that the church community of Holy Family can continue to discern & support the work of the New Evangelization in our Church, especially in youth ministry.

Now, more than ever, Youth ministry needs you. You are essential & important to the evangelization & discipleship of the youth & young adults that surround you. Don’t think that it’s “just going to happen”, or that you’re “too old” to be involved, or that you’re “too busy”. You’re always going to have those factors influencing your life, you’re not always going to have the youth & young adults of today’s culture – listen to them, they’re amazing.

So go, pray, discern, pray again, talk to each other, talk to God, then go out and evangelize!
